Our story is about me and our family business - I am Maija Rieksta-Riekstiņa, a mother of many children and the founder of Vegan Fox . Our family business produces ethical and vegan cosmetics with 92%-100% natural ingredients. Our products contain no animal-derived ingredients and nothing is tested on animals. We handcraft our products in Latvia because it's more personal.
I know that every new day is a new opportunity. Several years ago, I was not afraid and took a big step out of my comfort zone, leaving a great job in a great company. I wanted to do something lasting, something that was in line with my life values and where I added a part of my heart.
Now, with Vegan Fox products, I can say with confidence that every day I put my energy, joy and love into something I truly believe in.
Vegan Fox idea
It all started with a simple question - which cosmetics are truly vegan? Friends asked for advice on what to buy and what not to buy. When the exhaustion of wading through the ingredients lists of cosmetic products had worn off, the simple answer came - we need to create our own, explicitly vegan cosmetics.
All we had to do was get a grip and start a business. Thoughts really do have power, because things just started to happen - we met the right people, we listened to advice, we came up with the first product ideas, the fox came along and claimed her place in the name because she is smart, beautiful, feminine and has great intuition.
Is the fox vegan then? - Our fox is, because foxes can be different, just like humans.
Our story is not just about cosmetics
We are at the beginning of our journey. Vegan Fox Inspiring ourselves and others. Walking our own path is an opportunity to make a difference in this world, where people and animals live with dignity. Choosing cosmetics is just one step in showing our attitude and the things we care about.
