How to take care of your skin in autumn

skin care tips for autumn

Dry skin in autumn?

To keep your skin healthy and supple in autumn and winter, you need to change your skincare routine after a sunny summer. You can take complete care of your skin at home by following our tips and implementing simple daily rituals.
In autumn, skin is exposed to adverse conditions - cold, sharp winds, dry indoor air, heating, rapid temperature changes from indoors to outdoors. During autumn and winter, skin cell renewal is slower, blood circulation is impaired, nutrients and oxygen supply is reduced, and the following symptoms appear: dry skin, paler skin, tired appearance, fine lines and dark circles under the eyes. The skin may even start to itch and peel, so it needs more nourishing and caring substances at this time to speed up the regeneration process.

FOR THE FACE - THE 3-STEP PRINCIPLE

The ritual and regularity of your facial care during the cold months is very important. If you stick to the 3-step principle - cleanse, renew, moisturise - you can look at yourself in the mirror with a smile on your face. This simple principle is made easier to follow by our 3 Step Face Care Bundle you have to do is choose the products that best suit your skin type.

STEP 1 - Cleanse and allow skin to breathe
In the morning and evening, wash your face with a gentle cleanser such as a gel or foam suitable for your skin type. If dead skin cells are not thoroughly removed, they clog the pores and hinder the effects of skin care and repair products.
You can also try an alternative skin cleanser - micellar water- which is very gentle, alcohol-free and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and dry skin. You can use micellar water as a stand-alone cleanser or after washing your face instead of toner.
For a more effective cleansing, a facial scrub 1-2 times a week is useful; it should have fine abrasive particles, be gentle enough and definitely not too abrasive. After using the scrub, the pores will open up and it will be easier to absorb the cream's valuable active ingredients.
Recommended:
Airy Cleansing foam for normal complexion Gently cleanses and, thanks to chamomile extract, softens and soothes the skin.
Balancing Rose Micellar Water Cleanses, tones and acts as a powerful antioxidant.
If you feel inspired, you can also make your own face scrub. For dry skin - mix 2 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil, 1 tsp sugar and 0.5 tsp lemon juice, apply to clean, damp skin, massage gently over face, neck and, if the scrub is sufficient, décolleté, then rinse. Invigorating scrub - mix 1 tbsp. 1 tbsp coconut oil, gently rub into clean skin and rinse.

STEP 2 - Restore and prevent dryness
The sun and wind in summer have made the complexion drier, which inevitably leads to the first wrinkles. You can combat this by using more intensive skincare and cell renewal products. A facial oil or serum will restore elasticity and firmness to your skin and keep wrinkles and lines away.
The skin around the eyes becomes dry faster because it is 4 times thinner and more fragile than the skin on the face. It's around the eyes that signs of fatigue first appear - fine lines, puffiness and dark circles. To avoid this, a light-textured eye cream with special ingredients to care for and invigorate the eye area should be introduced into your daily skincare routine.
TheFace Mask is a powerful skincare product, you can use it 1-2 times a week to pamper yourself or for immediate results.
Recommended:

Make your own face mask - for a soothing effect, pour half a cup of oatmeal over a cup of hot water and leave to cool slightly, then apply a thick layer to your face and rinse with warm water after 15 minutes. Banana mask will reduce wrinkles and moisturise - squeeze a ripe banana, apply to your face and wash off with warm water after 20 minutes.

With the increased loss of moisture due to low outdoor temperatures and dry indoor air, moisturising is a crucial step towards healthy skin. It is recommended to start using a cream with a richer consistency, which not only moisturises the skin, but also penetrates perfectly into the skin and forms a protective layer.
The ideal face cream also contains additional active ingredients according to your skin type and it is very, very important to use it every day, morning and night. In cold weather, it is recommended to apply the face cream at least half an hour before going outdoors to give the skin time to build up a protective layer.
Recommended:
Softening Face Cream Moisturising, nourishing, soothing and non-greasy, with sweet almond oil, avocado oil and chamomile extract

DON'T FORGET TO PAMPER YOUR BODY

In autumn and winter, we wear more clothes that irritate and dry our skin and prevent it from fully absorbing oxygen, which can lead to unpleasant sensations such as itching and peeling.
A moisturising lotion or cream containing light natural oils (e.g. coconut oil or avocado oil) and vitamins C and E is great for daily skin care after showering, as they help to rejuvenate the skin and improve blood circulation. If your skin is very dry, use body oil on damp skin to ensure better absorption. You can also use coconut oil, which will nourish and moisturise your skin.
1-2 times a week, have your own little home spa ritual - choose a scented and nourishing body scrub.
An oil-based scrub is perfect for autumn and winter, as it enriches the skin with oils for extra massage and circulation, and helps get rid of dead skin cells. Apply to damp skin and massage in with gentle circular movements. Choose the scrub according to the desired effect - to invigorate, relax or improve circulation. It is also important to thoroughly treat and massage your hands, feet, knees and elbows.
If you combine a scrub with a relaxing bath with candles, soft music, tea and the right essential oils, you are guaranteed to relax both body and mind.

Feet are under a lot of strain throughout the day and are confined to closed shoes - you can make sure the skin on your feet is soft and not cracked. Use a foot cream or a body cream or oil daily after washing. Do not apply cream between the toes to avoid a rash. Periodically soak the feet in a bath and use a foot file or pumice stone to remove hardened skin on the heels.
HANDS, like the skin on the face, are exposed daily to wind, cold, dry indoor air, soaps and disinfectants, so wash them gently in warm water, as cold water makes the skin rough and flaky, while hot water dries the skin. It is better to wear gloves when cleaning the house. Use hand cream several times a day - after frequent hand washing, before going to bed and when you are out and about, make sure you have hand cream in your handbag or in the car.
Recommended:
Coffee Body Scrub improves blood circulation, firms and intensively nourishes the skin. Natural abrasive particles from apricot kernels and coffee beans promote cell renewal.
Nourishing hand cream with avocado oil and shea butter provides complete nourishment, prevents dryness and forms a natural protective layer.

If you implement a few new skincare rituals and follow the basics, your skin will be free from tiredness and dullness and you'll be ready for spring.
