How to care for your body and face in spring?
In winter, skin cell renewal is slower, sweating is less intense and blood circulation is impaired, which, combined with the freezing winter climate and dry indoor air, damages our skin. No matter how hard we try to nourish our skin, all these factors cause it to lose elasticity, become rough, unhealthy, dry and start to peel. But now that the temperature has been above freezing for a while and nature is starting to come back to life, it's time not only to change your wardrobe, but also to rethink your skincare routine.
Our skin produces millions of new cells every day, constantly renewing and replacing each other. If dead skin cells are not properly removed, they clog pores and hinder the effects of skincare products. The best way to get velvety skin and let it breathe is to get rid of the dead epidermal cells using an abrasive. One of the most abrasive products available for cleansing the skin is a scrub.
Use a mild body scrub once or twice a week before going to bed. Apply the scrub to damp skin and rub it in with gentle circular motions. Don't forget to treat your feet, knees and elbows - these areas of the body become particularly dry in winter. Remember, you don't need to use force here as the skin cells are already dead. Scrubbing hard can damage the skin, slowing down the skin's regeneration process. For an effective and non-abrasive cleansing, a scrub with fine and natural abrasive particles that gently cleanse the top layer of the skin, promote cell renewal and improve the overall appearance of the skin is the best choice.

After using the scrub, the pores will open up and absorb the valuable active ingredients more easily, so it is recommended to nourish the skin with a moisturising, non-fat cream after such a treatment. As skin loses moisture more easily due to low temperatures and dry indoor air, moisturising is a particularly important step on the road to glowing skin.
In spring, it is recommended to choose a light cream that regulates the skin's moisture level. The face cream should also contain additional active ingredients according to the skin type and should be applied daily morning and evening.
On the other hand, moisturising creams containing light natural oils (e.g. coconut oil or avocado oil) and vitamins C and E are ideal for body skin care as they promote skin renewal and improve blood circulation. If your skin is very dry, it is recommended to use body oil after showering, applied to damp skin.

It's water that helps deliver the nutrients and oxygen you need to rejuvenate your skin and leave it looking healthy, glowing and smooth. If the amount of water you take in daily is not sufficient, your body diverts the water it takes in to the vital organs of your body, thus dehydrating your skin and leaving it without the moisture it needs. If the lack of moisture is prolonged, the skin starts to dry out and wrinkles appear, it can become thin and even start to peel, as the blood vessels in the skin suffer and the skin is deprived of nutrients and oxygen as a result of insufficient water intake. It is the skin of the face that suffers first as a result of insufficient daily water intake, as it is constantly exposed to the external environment. For this reason, it is the facial skin that first shows the unpleasant signs of ageing. To prevent premature ageing and to maintain a sufficient level of moisture, it is recommended to consume at least one and a half to two litres of water per day.

Spending time outdoors, combined with physical activity, will improve your skin tone and overall appearance. Walking and exercising outdoors helps to oxygenate the body, thus also boosting cell metabolism. In addition to physical activity, facial and body massages will also help improve circulation, stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis and improve skin firmness.
